I love this place for all of my gardening needs. The mulch i have purchased here is better quality and color than the mulch from nearby nurseries (i won't mention names.) I also purchased 2 7 gallon pinnacle hydrangeas and bloomed beautifully. The main guy there is very knowledgable. He has a hard job and runs the place nicely. I love how they help put everything in my car while helping my truck keep clean.

Yesterday, my mother visited this store, which we frequent regularly because of the excellent produce and the convenience it provides as our one-stop shop. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to the conduct of one of the employees. Although I was unable to capture a photo or video for reference, the individual in question was a shorter woman with curly hair. At the register, she was noticeably rude and displayed an unprofessional attitude. Furthermore, I observed that she was using the same gloves both at the register and while cutting food, which raised serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. To make matters worse, when I called this morning to speak directly with the owner, I felt dismissed. Rather than addressing my concerns, he rushed me off the phone, asked if I spoke Spanish, and transferred me to another employee. This was unnecessary and unprofessional, as I could have spoken to an employee without requesting the owner in the first place. Additionally, after reading through reviews from other customers, it is clear that similar issues have been experienced by many others. This pattern of complaints should be alarming to the owner and tak

Great produce at reasonable prices. The people that work at Simply the Best are Simply the Best. The customer service can't be beat. In addition to fresh produce they carry a limited amount of groceries as well as glatt Kosher cheeses, deli cold cuts, hummus, pasta sauce and Arthur Avenue Bread. The garden center carries trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, sod, mulch and other home gardening needs. Nice selection of pumpkins and gourds just in time for Autumn.

This Friday I went into "Simply the Best" to sell them a "Forklift" and walked out a happy customer with non organic Blueberries and Strawberries. And both are still looking really good on my kitchen table- Three days later. I needed to stay in their parking lot to make a few sales calls and in comes a "Fruit and Vegetable" delivery truck from the Bronx. The delivery guy gets out of the truck and starts up the competitive forklift right next to my car. He then goes to take the "Pallet" load of Fruits and Vegetables off of his truck and into the back of the nursery and I have a great view of the entire process. What happens next is "WHY" I am now a life long customer - 3-4 employees from Simply Best and the delivery driver from the Bronx are now sorting boxes and individual pieces of fruit and vegetables to ensure that they are Fresh and meet the high standards that their customers demand and expect. I hope that the delivery man's boss from Bronx understands what a quality call is vs. just quantity? I now know WHY-They are called Simply the Best!
